Hi guy’s
I’m new to this forum and will need help on some thing
I know it might sound stupid but, don't

I just purchase a 1984 F150 6cyl 4sp manual for my project
The project consist of replacing the rusted body with a custom built body that resembled to a H1 hummer
My question is, what tcase this F150 could possibly have, I know it’s manual shift tcase
I suspect I could be BW1356

Reason is I just pick up a E250 Van with a 5.8 E4OD transmission and would like
to used this set up for the truck
that bring my second question, can the tcase be swap in the E4OD with proper tail shaft

I just created a photo album just in case you are curious about that project

Unless someone swapped it, it will be a NP208.

Look on the back of the tcase, there should be a tag that looks like a gear, and it'll have the numbers stamped into it.

If the rear of the transfer case is almost flat with one rectangle depression in the center, it is a NP208 (most common)

If the rear is ribbed, it is the Borg Warner unit
