why and what might be wrong

i dont know why but i keep messing up my amps.....i had a blauntpunkt an it was working fine for about 2 months then it stoped playing...sooooooo i bought another amp....this amp worked for about a month........it sounds like the subs are blown but i tryed other speakers an they do the same.......i THINK that i might have the ohms mixed up....could that have anything to do with it?>>>if so what would be the best way to wire my subs?>.....thanks

How many subs? What ohms are they? How are they wired? What brand are they? How many watts is the amp/subs? We need more info to be able to help

2 10'' IDQ's......i dont know the ohms on them........i have them wired parallel......the amp is 2 ohms stable an its 600 watts............

First I would check your wiring and make sure you don't have a short somewhere? Did any fuse blow when the amps give up? Next, you need to find out what ohms the subs are (single VC or dual VC makes a big difference too) and check out these wiring diagrams to see what the load on the amp really is. Hope that helps.

IDQ's come in either dual 2 ohm, or dual 4 ohm....and your amp is 2 ohm stable (I assume you mean 2 ohm mono...)

The dual 2's can potentially be wired to a final 1/2 ohm load. If you have them wired to 1/2 ohm, you are going to fry your amp(s).

The dual 4's can potentially be wired to a final 1 ohm load. 1 ohm on your amp might also fry it up.

Does/did your amps have a protection circuit?

yea it does but it dosnt come on.......and also i found today that one channel make a hard thumping noise and the other side sounds like the speaker is blown.........
