I would get an MSD personally. They are good quality, and the timing is always spot-on. They have varying models from stock replacement to ones that needs an msd box to work. They are online, www.msdignition.com.
When I bought my bronco it had a mallory unilite distributor and a mallory coil.If I had to purchase one I would go with msd but I have not had any problems with the mallory and I am pleased with it so far.
I used what looks like a GM style distributor with a Ford shaft and gear. It has the wide cap with the coil inside, it works real good, was a real easy hook up, got rid of the coil and the Duraspark box on the fender, it just cleans up the engine compartment.
I know the one company that makes a unit like mine is called D.U.I., but they were pretty expensive. I got a knock off brand that I can't think of off the top of my head right now, but it cost around $160.00 and had a 3 or 5 year warranty.
I've been running it daily for 3 months now with no problems.
