For those of you who are happy with your $4-5 disposable filters and 3-5K oil change intervals, this filter will not be of interest but for those who wish to have fail-safe filtering for extended periods, the CM Filters appear to be a good possibility. I am going to try one. It seems to have all the good stuff extended intervals require.
At the very least, this filter puts an end to speculation about who made it and what filtration you're actually getting.

The 22mm threading the 4.0L SOHC engine has is relatively new and the SynLube filters don't have it. They supply a Fleetguard Stratapore filter for this application. Though this is a good filter, the CM filter is much better with much more filtering area and an 8 micron filtering capability. It is better than any disposable filter in my opinion.
