actually if you know everything you need post it and i can call them right now for a price/availability

Appreciate the assist. Where is Cheyenne anyways?

In any case, I'll need:

Np-435, preferrably one dropped out of an old hi-boy so it will already have the correct divorced tail housing.

351m or 400 bellhousing, engine dust plate, t/o fork, & clutch link bracket.

390 flywheel. I'll have to drill it for a 12" clutch. I think I can get a new one from six states already drilled for @ $130 but I can always drill it myself if I get an old one in good shape.

I'm looking at what I can find out here but it never hurts to know whats out your way.

No ones indicated I need the manual cross member for this swap, even though you'd think I would. I figure if I can get one with the trans, great. If not it won't be the first thing fabricated on this truck.

would a 2wd np435 work or would that be too long?

Lol, the vultures are already picking the carcass clean!
Swamper has dibs on the cooler right now. I'm not selling anything untill I know 100% what direction I'm going in. I'm trying to get this all settled out soon though because I want to be and going by the end of te month. My preference would be to swap for parts so I'm not out of any money but I don't really expect that to happen. Yea, supposedly any of the 2x4 np435s will work too. I was just leaning towards one of the highboys ones because I wasnt sure if there were different tailhousing either. I've since been told they are the same. I appreciate you helping me with this Swamper...even if if it doesn't work for a parts swap I can at least get an idea of what stuff is going for over there.

Speedsauto, I appreciate the offer but the shipping to and from MN would be prohibitive.

I don't usually ask for help in here but its nice to have it when I do

ain't no thang but a chicken ****, cause if it works out for you, then it works out for me too, my c6 is hurting right now, (but won't have 600+ hp going through it) so it should be good to go when i make all the upgrades. i was planning on doing them anyway but figure if i can get a deal that means i can order this sweet pair of bilstein 5150 shocks as in the 14" of travel kind..yeah for 99.95 apeice. just found them on central 4wd, if you guys or them out of stock though i'm crackin skulls.

Pro, I think the difference from the 2x4 to the 4x4 is proabably the lug on the extension housing that the transfercase shifter mounts on, I dont think the 2x4 transmission has it at all, Something could proabably be fabricated there though without to much problem, That is my reason for wanting your C-6, The 2wd ones dont have the lug on the extension housing, If you do decide to swap would you be interested in selling the C-6? I could arange shipping, Thanks

Yea, sure...once I become 100% I'm going down that road I'll sell you the tranny. I imagine it will need new clutch packs though.

Now, thats what I was thinking about the 2x4 vs. 4x4 too, but everybody says it doesn't matter. Personally, I still think better to go with the 4x4 divorced case and reduce any improvising I end up doing. I think part of this deal that is driving me so nuts is that my tranny is the one thing I can't drop out and fix myself. Anyways, I should be getting an idea of what it will take/cost to do this conversion by the end of the week. Assuming I stick with the manual conversion (99.8% sure) I'll put all my auto stuff up for sale and give first offer to the guys who first asked about them in this thread. My shelves in the shop are already to full of car/truck parts I don't have the room for anything else...

man i knew it all the trannys are still on the road.
bills said they could get one from the west side

np 435 - 325 + 25shipping from your area

no linkages or bell housings though, and there isn't a single wrecking yard in the area that has anything really to speak of, i've been call tranny shops though to see if i can hunt one down...i'll keep you posted gotta go to work......if you can get one for 150 over there like you said you thought you could. jump on it!

The range seems to be between $75-150 out my way, if I drop it myself. I've got guys poking around in their backyards now

But thanks for checking, phew, thats steep!
