240 I6 Flywheel
I have a 1971 Ford F250, 2 wheel drive, 4 speed New Process manual tranny. The engine is a 240 I6 from a 1966 Ford Custom car and the engine currently has the car bell housing and clutch. I would like to replace clutch with a truck clutch. I have the bell housings and flywheels from a 1966 and 1979 300 I6 PU engines. Can I use the 300 I6 flywheel on the 240 or will that cause a balance problem? Perhaps someone has a parts book that tells whether Ford used the same flywheel on the 240 and 300s. Thanks
