Agman you are just the type of supporter Bush is looking for, blind and ignorant of world affairs just like he is. (oh yeah saddam and bin laden were real close, and we all know that Hussein posed an immediate threat to the US HAHAHA thats a good one agman, maybe if we weren't overthere di**ing around in other peoples business in the first place there wouldn't be any threat at all) My God it really gets me fired up when people support Bush for his reaction to 911. What the hell did he do besides make the government huge and put the military on every damn street corner. Which let me tell you folks that aint gonna stop much of anything from happening. Bush thinks "Lets get everyone scared as hell then make them think the military will protect them, HA everyone will love me," and unfortunately the average uneducated American is falling for it. In addition to that can we all recall when he swore to us that he wanted a small, agile and quick thinking government (yeah right). Also there are two more things that you just cant overlook if you are a concerned citizen with half a freakin brain. One is the national deficit, how can you support Bush when all he is doing is running up a bill like a teenage kid with his moms credit card. Two is the environment (this is my biggest gripe), maybe im just being too much of a hippy but things like modern emmissions standards, and upping the write offs of 8500lbs+ vehicles up to $75000 is rediculous, and his catering to big industry is so obvious its funny. Also while we're at it lets touch on the fact that the national defense agency was granted exemption from the wildlife's protection program. Now they are asking for the white house to lobby for exemption from the clean air act, and toxic waste cleanup laws. And dont even try saying "well staying alive is more important than some blue assed green eyed bug in the farthest corner of the forest in oki fenoke swamp. It doesnt work like that it isn't that clear cut and dry and the damned department of defense can sure as hell accomplish the same thing while polluting less anyhow. Sorry for the long post Im not trying to change peoples views nor do I support the "Bushwackers" but if your gonna support Bush tell me what he has done to better this country besides saying "well he didn't act like a ***** democrat after the trade tower attacks" or "he finally went over and kicked some Iraqi ***." Well thats well and good but that still doesnt explain the rapidly declining situation in the US. Back up your views folks if there is one thing I hate it is dumb*** people that make outrageous claims with no evidence or facts to back it up. Sorry I just saw this thread and had to vent. Later.

Sorry about that previous post as I read it now I may have come on a little strong. I know there are members that have made many more posts than I being a new user. I just wanted to mix things up a little and get people thinking (for a change) I really didnt mean to offend anyone (alot). So I guess I am apologizing already but I feel strongly about these things.

I said enough of violating the guidelines. I meant it. One gone.

I don't care how strongly someone feels about an issue:
No calling people names. No badgering. No baiting. No by-passing the language filters. No demeaning other users for their opinions.

Ok, I'll jump in.

I chose Bush. True, while I live in a mostly democratic state (CT) I believe that Bush would (while I agree with others here, I don't agree with some of the things Bush is doing now), he'll be close to succeeding in the polls. Next, would be defiantly Kerry.
On a side note about Clark, I was watching the debates on TV last week, and Clark said something like "giving all college students free admission" or something to the effect that all college students will not have to pay a dime.
What, is he crazy ??? That or he was talking about something else ?????????

first of all, where are the moderators on this guy? my threads got locked up for makin a hippie joke

second,

but if your gonna support Bush tell me what he has done to better this country besides saying "well he didn't act like a ***** democrat after the trade tower attacks" or "he finally went over and kicked some Iraqi ***." Well thats well and good but that still doesnt explain the rapidly declining situation in the US. Back up your views folks if there is one thing I hate it is dumb*** people that make outrageous claims with no evidence or facts to back it up.
take a look at the other 10 posts ive put on here about what Bush has done for us. ive got some good facts posted out there. they are locked up, but you can still read them.

What the hell did he do besides make the government huge and put the military on every damn street corner.
here or in iraq? if your going to try to trap me into a flame war atleast gimmie some detail man.

Bush thinks "Lets get everyone scared as hell then make them think the military will protect them
...i dont think Bush was the one in those airplanes.... Bush didnt scare us, the terrorists did, when they killed countless Americans. I know im not cool with foreigners flyin planes into my house, i think thats why Bush fought back. Our military is the strongest in the world. This is FACT.

average uneducated American is falling for it
count me in, i fell for it, they really tricked me into thinking that we were attacked on 9/11... i guess that means they tricked me into thinking that they killed my fellow Americans, and my firefighters and police officers, i guess they also fooled me into thinking my President stood tall on behalf of his country and fought back, making a big step in fighting world terrorism! man how could i have been tricked so badly?...o yea, it was true , phew i thought i was an anti-american liberal for a second!

One is the national deficit, how can you support Bush when all he is doing is running up a bill like a teenage kid with his moms credit card.
kind of reminds me of President Hoover ... Bush took office when the economy was on a downhill slide, also the cost of war obviously helped continue the downhill slide. however, the economy is coming back up. you must remember the only time we've had a booming economy was under clinton, for a short while...and that was due to a large technology boom among other market things...and that cannot even be credited to Clinton because it was already on an upward climb at the end of Bush Sr. administration. so basically we had a market surplus that spiked for 4 years and then spiraled down before Bush took office.

as for the credit card remark, i dont think Bush is spending billions of dollars on himself... that is against the constitution first of all, you cannot create legislation that affects your personal salary.
Bush is spending this money on you, thats right you and me... to keep us safe

but if your gonna support Bush tell me what he has done to better this country besides saying "well he didn't act like a ***** democrat after the trade tower attacks" or "he finally went over and kicked some Iraqi ***." Well thats well and good but that still doesnt explain the rapidly declining situation in the US. Back up your views folks if there is one thing I hate it is dumb*** people that make outrageous claims with no evidence or facts to back it up.
hmmm....i think ive put forth some good facts.
study up a little more, then we can BOTH talk like adults rather than trying to start some kind of "flamewar"

Moderators and Webmaster: please do not lock this thread due to what juggernaut posted. i think ive difused his attempt to flame and i hope to hear a responsible, knowledgable response to my argument.

lets keep this one clean guys...im tired of interesting threads being locked!

We will decide what thread gets locked or moved.

Thanks

The best thing to do is for everyone to follow the guideline's and NOT question what FTE administration does.

I love to hear about all the jobs being created in Iraq but unfortunately I live in America. Why do Republicans continue to speculate on how the Democrats would have responded to 9/11? It's been 2 years and we've blown a million holes in the dessert, rotated from amber to red on the terrorist alert scale, and we've yet to find Osama Bin Laden (who we know is responsible for the incident). I'd say there's room for improvement on the current plan myself.
The reason that Republicans speculate on how Dems would handle 9-11 is because we saw how Clinton handled The Cole bombing, Somalia, the first World Trade Tower bombing, etc.,
Slick bombed an aspirin factory in the Sudan in retaliation. BIG WHOOP!
Al Gore would have banned A-10 ammunition because it was depleted uranium and bad for the environment. He would have lightened our tank armor so that they got better fuel economy and he would have gutted the CIA for being "too clandestine".

It was taken care of, far stricter than just locking a thread. Please drop it about locking the other thread, it over and done with.

Just imagine: King "Frenches" Kerry and his wife, the Queen of Heinz Ketchup. The perfect condiments. I wonder if their kids are "Pickles and Relish"?
