Without knowing the year model of the application, I would say that you can probably get Motorcraft wires for it. Recently (within the last 3 months) I did a tuneup on my 77 351M which included new Motorcraft wires. I try to stick with Motorcraft parts when doing any work on my trucks.
I am no expert on wires. I installed a set of "autolite" wires for my 92 I6 and they work just fine. The lengths were correct and I could match each old wire with a new one of the same length. So far so good.
i've heard good things about the autolite. i cant find the motorcraft anywhere. motorcraft is made by ford so it is probably the best. just stay away from the no name brands.
I've had good luck with Accel and Borg/Warner wires. Do yourself a favor. Whichever brand you choose, don't cheap out on them. Like I've found in the past and preach consistantly about a lot of things....when you cheap out, you end up paying for it twice!
Accel makes a truck tune-up kit with cap, rotor, wires & plugs for the 300 IL 6.
Check Jegs and Summit about $65. If you want the Hi-po TFI coil to match it's another $35.
I put the whole set on my 300 and was very happy. The 8.8 silicone wires fit great and the cap has the brass connectors. The plugs can be gapped at .045 for a good spark.
