I've never seen one for sale. Ya' have to get down n' dirty and make one yourself. If you have good woodworking skills, and are somewhat proficient in using fiberglass, you'll do fine. If not...might have to look at alternatives.

Here's the deal

I build sub boxes and design speakers. I'm not sure why you need to be proficient in fiberglass. Use MDF to build the boxes. you must make sure that the box size is correct. Most subs come with a suggested box size. Then cover with carpet to match your carpet. If you have specific questions, just let me know.

one thing i'm not sure of though, will it sound as good up front as it might under the rear seat? i was thinking about the hump because it is wasted space and i wouldn't have to lift the rear bench, etc... but there's no point if it won't sound very good. what do u think? thanks for the help

well, it depends...

It depends on the sub you use. If you are looking to have 4000 watts going to about four subs, go under the seat. It will image better. By the way, most salesman will tell you bigger is better for sound. If you are in a truck, you will get 12-20 dB of cabin gain. Basically, if you use more than 150 watts, you are overdoing it unless you are into competition or just like the bragging rights. If your cab is extended you won't get as much gain, but it will be close. I personally put 450 watts into two 8 inch subs, not because I need it, but because I got a good deal on the amp and subs, and I like to brag sometimes.

I would hesitate on putting the sub over the tranny hump. It might be a little too much. If you do put it there, try firing it down by raising the sub box on little legs, or fire it under the dash. Be careful, though, because you may get some resonances from your dash or cab.

Hope this wasn't too much,

Shane
