Do they exist: Frame Mounted Tube Style Running Boards?

Got a 2002 F250 Superduty Supercab Shortbed without any running boards. I really dont like cleaning the mud that gets flung up between the door and sill, and would like to find something better than the factory steps to solve this problem. I know there are a lot of tube steps and boards that bolt into the factory holes on the rocker, but I'm not into that idea...looking for something to protect a possible crunch, not send a board up into my door. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a tube step with top plate that extends wheel to wheel and mounts to the frame?

There is a wheel to wheel nerf bar. My buddy, who owns a "tin can Chevy" was looking at them in our local bumper to bumper store magazine. There made by Westin and cost about $300.

Hope it helped

well, the ones I am looking for would have the diamond plate or whatever material running over the entire length from the tube to up under the truck like a running board, not just the nerf bar. I found some just plain nerf bars from WAAG that are frame mounted, if anyone is interested in that type. I guess if needed, I can modify those, but I would like to buy them ready made...it just seems that someone would have those made already
