Yes there will be a set of 4 solinoids high against the firewall in the middle of the dash. The selonoids are not there if the truck does not have Keyless entry.
It took me a while to identify these. The repair schematic showed the selonoids but the location drawing did not show them.
I had to tap these wires to installk the alarm. Getting to the wires was very difficult because of the location.
Ok Folks this just cost me 144 dollars, (long Story) turn the key on/off 8 times, the doors should lock unlock and that tells you it is ready to program. Just press the button on the remote and your done. You need to do all remotes at once. Enjoy. I just did theis and it works.
Where were you 8 years ago when the fellows in this thread needed help?

It was actually quite helpful for me as I'm just looking to add keyless entry. I've been cycling my key and I can't get anything to happen, and I don't see any solenoids behind the cup holder, so I'm assuming it didn't come with it from the factory.
not all XLTs have keyless... like mine bought a set of remotes and they are useless. you can also call a dealer with your vin to see if it was equiped with the option.
