My dad's four wheelers are covered under his farm insurance plan. The problem is that he is not covered if a wreck occurs on someone elses property.

neither did i. a few years ago i had my kawasaki bayou stolen. it was only 3 years old at the time. i recommend getting the insurance. the area i live in doesn't have a high crime rate. people leave bikes and such outside all the time. i never saw it comming.

BuiltTough, I pay about $120 a year as well on my 2002 sportsman 400. I don't think it is worth it though. Once the thing is paid for at the end of the year the insurance is going bye bye on it. When it was still new I had a light rollover that did about $600 in damage only because it was cold and the plastic was brittle. My deductable was $500. I just wound up paying out of my pocket to fix it because I did not need my insurance to go up because I filed a claim that only exceeded my deductable by $100. If it gets stolen, totaled or whatever, I am sure the insuarance company is not going to give me enough to fully replace it with a new machine anyways. Have I mentioned that I am not very fond of insuarance companies?

My home owners insurance covers it as long as its on my property
My auto insurance covers it if its in the truck, or on a trailer

No insurance on my dirtbike, snowmachine or 4 wheeler. All paid for but I don't see a reason to have insurance on it. I'll pay for what I break. And if it gets stolen you better hope I never find it.
