v10 vs. 5.4 v8 engine specs

Anyone know where I can find v10 and 5.4 v8 engine specs (horsepower, torque) for 1999 through 2003? I need to buy an E350 15-passenger van to haul lots of people and lots of gear. I've been renting these vans for years and know the v10 is the way to go when the van is fully loaded. I'd like to know the engine specs for the past four years or so to help decide if a 1999 v10 is actually better than a 2002 5.4 v8 (for example). I've been reading up a bit and it appears the mileage is about the same for both v10 and v8 - is this true? THANKS!

The 99's are 35 hp less @ 275 hp compared to 310 hp for 2000 and up v10's.The 2000 + up V10's have 425 trq.The 5.4 probaly does burn about the amount of fuel as the 6.8 because you have to push the 5.4 a little harder to achieve the same results.
Welcome to FTE! Get the V10!

oops, i remembered vans have less hp than what i listed, but not much.

2002 specs. for the V10 in the vans are305@4250 rpm. The torque is420@3250. This from the dealer when I bought mine my salesman gave me a spec sheet for the V10. I don't have anything on the 5.4. I'm really glad I got the V10 when you step on it, it moves! We get around 14 mpg on the highway with 15 people. Around town 11or12 when my wife drives. She always gets better mileage than me.

I had a 5.4 in my expedition and I though it was pretty weak, the v10 in my f250 is a powerhouse but it takes a while to get used to the engine sound (sorta indy car like). I cant even imagine how bad this superduty would be with a 5.4 in it. actually now that I've typed this I realize my expy was a 97 and the SD is a 2000, I think ford bumped both up HP wise over the years... but I would still get the V10, I really like this engine as long as the spark plugs stay in it.
