? Could some please give me some info. on Oct. PCM flash on my 2003 f-350 6.0 powerstroke, I have been told that it must be done before I can install the new Diablo Predator , should I do it ir not? I have heard some stories where some flashes don't turn out to good.
I have been told by the service manager at my dealership to wait for the flash that is coming up to fix the Oct flash blues before getting the chip. He didn't say why. He said that right in front of the sales guy that sells the aftermarket stuff.
Thanks SBV45 for the info. Do you have any idea when the next flash will be out?
Your welcome. That's what this forum is all about. I don't know when the next flash will be out. All the service manager will say (he spoke with the Ford area rep) is that it is expected sometime niddle first quarter 2004. So I am patiently waiting.
How can I tell what "flash" version I have?
The only way I know is to check with your dealer and they should be able to look it up on OASIS. Look at the updates link I put in a few posts ago and depends when your truck was built wat calibration it came with. If the dealer flashed it, should show up on the OASIS report. If you don't have the Oct flash yet, don't get flahsed unless you got a problem you can't live with or have a Predator performance chip. Wait until the new one comes out and wait until one of us guinea pigs runs it for a few weeks to see if it really fixed things and didn't break something else.

I'd suggest that all ask for a copy of the OASES report, everytime you take the truck in. Such effort on your part, will emphasis the seriousness you take when any work is doen on the truck.
If they start giving you and challenge, you've always go:

Not withstanding anything to the contrary herein,
I require a copy of this truck's current OASES report; This requirement is of the essence.
======
Just curious,
But what is an OAISIS(OAISES) report? Is it a log of whats been done to the truck?
I've been interested in getting the predator too, but I also need to recalibrate for 37inch tires and was waiting to see if they are going to come out with one that does that.
