Hi,I have an 86 F150 4X4 and I am looking for 16 inch wheels for it.Either 8 or 10 inch width. They dont have to be fancy they are just on a work truck.Maybe some rock crawler rims or something like that.Basically something cheap.Anyone have any ideas where I can find some or maybe have some for sale.Any info is appreciated.
Tires for 16" wheels are expensive. My dad has a nice set but the tires were 1.5 times the price and those were the cheap ones. Jeeps have the 5.5 on 5 bolt pattern but the backspacing is probably different. I would go check out american racing they would more than likely have some. If not try for a 17" wheel, or 15", much more choices with 15" and 17".
The rims he has are a 6 spoke, with three holes in each spoke, with the holes bigger at the bottom and getting smaller as the spokes get smaller (the wheels are aluminum and they need new steel insert put in where the lugs nuts go. But yeah the 17" wheels will be more, but depending on what size of tires you use the tires will probably be cheaper for the 17"s because of all of the new trucks having 17"s.
