After 3 weeks I finally got somewhere today. I've got the Regional Zone Manager's phone number and the dealership know's that I've been in touch with the Zone Manager and Detroit and D-Wayne the head of security in Mr. William Ford's office.....
I feel your pain. I had the ol' "busted tab on the intake box" problem which led to slightly damaged turbo blades. The dealer would not do anything, they said the turbo boost output is within spec and even if it wasn't, they couldn't touch it. I asked for the area rep for ford and the service manager said it was him. End of line there. I called the customer service number and they told me to essentially pack sand. Now it is out of warranty and I am sort of screwed....
that sucks. I know I wasn't taking no for an answer and now I don't have any friends but they also know not to screw with me b/c I keep coming back for more.

Not yet but they say they're working on it. I got the lemon back last night and will have to drive it until it's resolved. This already qualifies as a lemon in NY so they're looking into taking care of it w/o going to court. I should have an answer from them by the end of the week. The NY Attorney General's office is warming up in the bull pen. I found for best results I need to ruffle feathers. Email William Clay Ford worked well. Now I promised I would sit and wait.
Low and behold the truck came back with problems. We'll see how many more times I need to go back.

That's what I meant by having the AG in the bullpen.
WOW that's amazing... on thursday no motor available...one call to corporate and... on monday come and get it --- all done. Almost sounds like the dealer 'lost' the motor in their parts room. . Or they were too busy making money on oil changes and tire rotations to do that low paying warranty job of yours.
alfie, is that the dealer on rt 9?? I might be up grading to the 6.0 and usually deal with the dealer in kingston but am curious to which dealer you are having the trouble with. thanks nick

Yes that's the one. I've dealt with a lot of dealers in this area and I don't trust any of them. Maybe it's me that's the problem....
I talked to the Zone Manager today. He finally came through with a reason why my engine failed. He says the EGR cooler leaked water into the piston and that's what caused it to get hot and burn it up. I knew it was water in the jug but I wanted to hear it from them. Also I took the truck in for trip #4 today all related to the same problem. Bingo now I have both of the lemon law criteria met even though I only needed to meet one or the other. So the Zone Manager offered me a month's equivalent of the truck payment and a free ESP. I told him the ESP is not all it's cracked up to be and I don't want it, I want the truck replaced. He said he's dealt with the lemon law before and know they took care of the problem and that if I were to go to the attorney general that I would lose. I told him that I paid for a "factory new" truck and that's what I want. I don't want a truck that was half assembled in Poughkeepsie Ford's service department. I told him he has no idea how well they put it together and that even if repairs are free for the life of the vehicle that I can't afford to tie the truck up in the service department and to that end I want a new truck. He said he would have to get back to me next week. I told him I would give him the time but that I would only take a new truck and that's it.....
