Screeching starter

I've heard that the screeching starter is a common problem on the Bronco II. I even have a spacer that is suppposed to help. Anybody out there have this problem? Any fixes?

THIS HAPPENED TO MY BII. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS VISIT O'REILLEY'S AUTO PARTS. I AM NOT SURE WHY BUT THEIR STARTERS DO NOT DO THIS. GOOD LUCK!!!

Some of them have 9 teeth and others have 10, do a search there have been some posts about this in the past.
