Vibration in steering wheel
Thanks
I can't say that I have this problem, not having an 04 YET... But a customer of mine in the distribution company that I work for does. He has A Lariat Screw. He says that the vibration is really noticable when the truck shifts into overdrive. He has went several rounds with the dealer in which he purchased the truck. They even sent a specialist from ford to take a look. They have no idea... They can't tell him anything.. They ordered him a new set of tires to see if that is the problem. But they said they don't think the tires are the problem. He told them he would just get a lawyer and file for the lemon law. The dealer told him he signed that right away when he signed the paper work... And proceded to show him the small print in which he did sign. He is not a happy camper.
Maybe your problem is not the same as his. I hope if it is, it will be just some isolated problem that can be taken care of. But so far, he has had no luck at all. I really hate that.. I'm a huge fan of the 04 and on the verge of ordering one. I might hold off for a bit to see what happens. I sure don't have time to deal with a problem like this from a truck that I will pay over 30 grand for....

This is a huge problem for some 04 f150 trucks. If you will do a search on this forum for steering vibration you will find a lot of information, none of which has led to a fix for the problem. It may give you some ammo to push the dealer. This fix will not originate at the dealer. It is going to take some time to find what is wrong.
