Pace Edwards Tonneau cover

Anyone have the roll-top cover made by Pace Edwards? I am looking at getting one and wanted some feedback before I invested the cash $500+. Any leaks in the bed? Any problems with the lock feature? Are they durable (any warping)?

I like the roll-top concept better than the snap and lock or velcro types that are out there, even though they are considerably less expensive.

Thanks.

Great forum, I look here every day and learn a ton from all of you.

I cant comment on the Pace Edwards, but my Truxedo Rollup works quite well for me.

I dont think that you will find a roll up that will be 100% watertight.

You may want to check out ebay, I paid 375 for mine and that included shipping, and it was new in the box.

Yes, I have the Pace Edwards roll top cover. As for leaks, there will be some in a heavy rain due to the slides on the sides of the cover. I have never had any large problems in the rain. As for the car wash, it does leave a bit more moisture inside due to the pressure it is hit with and the angle. Mine has been on for about 1.5 years with no lock problems and no warpage. I really like the roll top option and will put up with a bit of a water leak now and then. I also have the BedRug carpeted liner which has kept any water from spreading much. Sorry, I do not have any pictures posted with the cover yet, just been lazy getting them.

I have a pace edward's cover and it works great. Handles rain and snow well. It's a little tough to install if you have a bed liner.

Is it tough to install on a rhino-liner, or just on insert type bedliners?

I have a Pace Edwards bed cover for my F-150 (6.5/ft bed). So far I am pleased with it. The installation was pretty straight forward and its much easier with 2 people. I also installed it with a drop in bedliner. No problems. There have been no warps, but the cover has turned gray because the cover has had some sort of debris cake in over it. Washing it doesnt work, guess I have to buy the conditioner for it. As far as leaks go there hasnt been any major leaks, but some water does seep thought.

The one thing I did'nt expect was the fact that it takes some space out of your bed. About an 8X8 inches out of the very back of your bed, and the rails used to hold the bed cover, cover up the bed caps. So I havent been able to install rails on the side. Ill take a picture and post it later to show what I mean.

Thanks, I am definitely interested in seeing the picture. That info is very helpful.

I knew the housing took up some space based on some pictures I have seen, but I wasn't sure how much. 8x8 is a pretty good size chunk on our trucks that are short-beds.

I also want to put on a trac-rac system and was curios if you could still access the pockets. Sounds like no. I'm disappointed because I love the look of the retractable cover, and have never really found a soft cover I liked.

Thanks again for the info everyone. Once again, this forum is phenomenal!!

Just posted pictures of the tonneau cover, check my gallery.

*when installing the tonneau cover with a plastic bedliner I did experience some difficulties, it didnt fully flush against the back so I had to cut away some of the plastic at the corners.*

hope the pictures help.
