Will it work, will it sound good?

I was thinking of running a single in dual out Flowmaster 40, 2.5" pipe before muffler and 2" tailpipes. come straight out the back under the bumper with two 3"x 20 inch long chrome tips

i heard the 40's series muffler sounds good, however i took my rear cat off, ran straight pipe to the back, glasspack, then Y'd it, then coumes out behind the rear wheels at a 45 deg. angle, sounds decent.
