Every one has a different use for it. A common use is for extra power when using a camper/trailer. Also it helps with running extra off road lights and so forth.
While I also use mine for helping with an electric winch and extra off road lights, I find my main use is to run an AC inverter for my laptops and other AC powered equipment while on the job.
It charges the 22 car batteries that power the 30 1000 watt amplifiers that drive the 60 12" sub woofers in a box that takes up the entire 8' bed of the truck. I can no longer hear the increased engine noise as a result of the removed pilot injection feature on the 6.0 diesel
got your message on the other thread. Do you have a private e-mail address or, phone #? Wanted to hear about your progress. I am still very interested.

I will bet with all the fire power, the part of the statement that says " I can no longer hear" will be the end result. You definately will not need to worry about the removal of Pilot Injection! I know you were kidding, and so am I.......... Gees, the truck would be jumping down the road. No need for the tranny!
It's ALOT cheaper to order it with the dual alternators, rather than try to add one on later. The dual alternators may help you a little when it comes time for resale. I don't really need a second alternator at this point but figured I might want it later so went ahead and got it.
