Anyone around the Atlanta metropolitan area have a used but running 240 or 300 inline 6 cylinder engine for sale? I need to replace mine but don't want to install a remanufactured unit if I can help it because I just don't drive the truck enough miles to make it worth spending that kind of money. I could switch to a small block but since I'd like to restore the old beast some day, I'd like to keep it original too. By the way, it's for a 68 which means it's a 1 barrel non-EFI variety. Thanks to any who respond.

Go to the next forum up ('73-'79 Ford Trucks). there is a guy called BamaF100 that is thinking about switching his 240 for a V8 in the "New F100 Owner" thread. Maybe everyone can come out ahead. It is worth a look at one of the pictures on the thread any ways, that is a beautiful engine that GeneStoner has!
