240 or 300?

My 1966 F100 has a 1975 inline 6. But I'm not sure if it's a 240 or 300 and I don't see any obvious way to tell. Any suggestions?

If the original valve-cover decal is still there, you can decode it here:

Here is a couple of pictures of my 1977 300 I6 for comparison, if that helps.

Bore, stroke, or valve size would be different.

Thanks Guys. Got no valve cover decal, but all the same it was nice to see Tee's engine. It's a beauty.

If you are sure the I-6 is from a 1975, and the engine was original to that truck, it's a 300 I-6.

The 240 was canceled after the 1974 model year ended.

If you are not sure, you have to measure the stroke to tell the difference between the 240 & 300, since both use the same block and look identical.

Stroke: 240 = 3.18" / 300 = 3.98"
