Can somebody tell me what the difference (height & stiffness) between the camper package and a snow plow package suspension? I have a '02 F350 CC, LB, 4x4 v10. Is there any noticable height gain going with the snow plow package?
The main thing I noted with the snow plow pkg is that the frt end sits pretty level. If I recall correctly I don't think there's any difference between the snow plow pkg susp and the trailer tow pkg suspension. You still get the heaviest springs with either.
As stated The x springs(snowplow pkg) will level the truck front to back
You also get the steering stabilizer.
Trailer tow pkg gives you wired plugs and trailer hitch (frame mount)
I have all of the above with 8800 lb gvw pkg
OI I've got a headache! I can't remember...BUT the Camper package includes the heavy service suspension which is NOT (I believe) the X springs up front. X springs are (for the truck in question) just for the plow package and the V springs are for the heavy service package. Now with this headache, I could be wrong...so correct me if I am.
The camper package also adds the rear sway bar and certification label which the plow package does not.
SInce the V code springs are 5200lb springs and the X springs are 6000lb springs, the truck with the plow prep package will be more "stiff".
