Are you considering changing what you got for the stock CD player IF there was one? I personally would reccomend getting aftermarket, unless you want the stock appearance.
Oh ok, your looking for a cheap way to play CD's, and an easy install. Ok, well, I don't think that you need a 93 exactly look for a 92-96 CD player, some of the other years may work too!
I did just what you are talking about. You can get the factory am/fm cd player on ebay, thats where I got mine and I put one of these in an 89 F150 that never came from the factory with this unit.No cutting, no BS just a straight forward install. These players came in PU's Broncos,Continentals,Escorts,etc..Now comes the how much part.I got mine for around 125.00 with shipping.Yes thats enough, maybe too much. Now lets get down to the real have to have part for this install. You have to have the factory amp to make this work.I looked thru junk yards for the plug ends to plumb this thing,I got it installed and it works and fits nice. These players will not blow your doors off.If I remember correctly they are made by JBL.The factory amps are mounted underneath the dash ubove the gas pedal.I put my amp underneath the front bench seat, rubber mounted on a piece of wood. Here's a link.
You don't want to go that way, there was one available but only with the premium sound system which requires the factory amplifier, so you would have to have that also.
You will get much better sound quality, just as easy (sometimes easier), and probably will cost less if you go with a aftermarket CD player.
You can pick up a pretty good one on E-Bay ranging from $80-$100 including shipping, and the install isn't too hard, just have to get the correct harnesses from Circuit City or almost any stereo shop.
Pioneer DEH-P2500...$120.00. AM/FM, Supertuner III, CD Player (with hookup for remote multichanger you could add later if you wanted to), 50W x 4. Available at any Wal Mart.
Scosche car stereo connector P/N FD02...$4.00, available at Wal Mart.
Hook the connector to the Pioneer on the workbench...10 minutes (instructions included).
Presto, plug and play direct hookup stereo that will take about 20 minutes to install in your truck(most of that time is removing the old unit). Consider the time and trouble of finding, ordering, and installing the crappy Ford CD player and do the math.
BTW....IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO YELL!

I didn't know Wal-Mart had harnesses, cool, and when you said attach on work bench you meant wiring right? I actually got harnesses that comletely pugged right in, no crimping or cutting, but depends if you are on a budget or not
94 Bronc, the harness (adapter really) I am talking about is a Ford factory compatible plug that you connect to the harness of your aftermarket stereo. Once you have hooked it up, your aftermarket stereo now plugs directly into your Ford stereo connector in the dash. No routing power or speaker wires...nothing. Just plug and play.
