Can anyone validate if there are any changes due in 2005. I see the 5.4 has increased its power. I was wondering if the same three valve technology will transfer to the V10. This will do wonders to the motorhome chassis. I had a feeling that Ford may drop the V10 (Dodge did) and use the 5.4 as their 'big engine.' However, I am also inclined to believe that the Super Duty and the motorhome business will keep the engine alive. Does anyone know the future of the V10 or the total annual sales of the engine.
Not sure on changes but Dodge has a larger Wimpy V8 on the way. Ford does not so they need the V10 for those who don't want to waste money on a diesel.

May will be the cut off date for ordering an 04 or there abouts. We should know for sure what 05 brings in a cpl months. I have only heard great things about the TQ shift so lets hope it works well behind the V10.
This will seem like something ignorant to ask, but would it be doable to upgrade a 2003 v10 to the 3 valve technology when it does come out? In reading the way you more experienced guys talk about this 3 valve technology, I would love to have it, but I sure cannot afford to make a new purchase anytime soon.
Also, read on another enthusiast site today that Ford has announced V10 2005's to have 455 lbs torque next year - sound like 3 valve? Anybody seen that announcement?
Is that OK to do? http://forums.ford-trucks.com/ubbthr...5&o=93&fpart=1
Hey, take it for what its worth - I'd like to verify. As said before, the tranny would be worth waiting for (which is why they try and keep things quiet I suppose) and another 30 lbs of torque wouldn't hurt either.
