Hi everyone, I was just wondering. Do you all who live in the north put anything over your grill in the winter to keep some of the cold air out? I'm going to Wisconsin next week and it supposed to be 2 degrees when I get there. Any ideas would be great. Thanks, Bentonmike
Here is a pic of one a friend had made. I think it's pretty cool, and it only cost him $40 at a custom upholstery shop.
Lund also makes some plastic inserts that go in the grill openings to block some of the airflow. Those are available at JC Whitney, and other similar places.
If I may ask you a question, seeings how you're 'in the neighborhood', where did your friend have the winter cover made up? Was it in the Seattle area? - I'm up here in the North end of the Lake, LFP to be exact. Thanks.
He lives in Maple Valley, and had the work done at Truck Interiors (19010 Des Moines Way South, 206-243-1951) in SeaTac. He said it only cost him $40 installed. I don't think I could ever beat that anywhere else.
I hope this helps.
