HELP! Adding factory power windows, locks, and mirrors
I am installing power windows, locks, and mirrors in my 99 superduty F250. The truck was a basic work truck with no options except for cruise control and tilt wheel. When I was installing the passenger side, I noticed that there were two female connectors behind the passenger side foot kit plat under the glove box. They don't appear to have the male connector and I was wondering what they are for? I also discovered a black box " Chapman Vehicle Security Systems" behind the dash under the steering wheel. It has one gray wire and a plug with eleven wires coming off it.

I cant tell u what the two female connectors are but, the black box was apparently an alarm system installed by the previous owner. It wont do any good without the remote, unless there is a number on the box and u call them. I also did some work on a buddys xl and added power locks, but we just purchased a k-9 alarm and installed the lock actuators.2 wires from each actuator. The place where i bought the alarm gave me a wiring schematics page that told me what wires did what underneath the steering column. that made it real EASY. i even hooked it up to where he can turn his headlights on and off from his remote any length of time he holds his button. For an amatur that is not bad. We also hooked it up to the siren and horn for a 2 tone sound. Just my 2 cents for you. Oh yea, that same alarm istalled by the k9 shop would have cost him around 390 something. he bought it for 180 and did more hookups , like the lights and horn and siren, than they would of done for the 390.
