Anyone bought from "63split" in Georgia?
Does anyone have any experience with George Bennett from Classic Auto Parts in Carnesville Georgia. He's advertising F1 parts in the classified section. He goes by "63split". I Googled him and found one unsatisfied customer but that's bound to happen.

Hi Dan. I e-mailed him regarding hood emblems for my '58 F-100. He replied back that he has one ($60, the highest I've seen yet), but couldn't produce a pic. I didn;t buy from him because of that. Could just be me, but I prefer to see what I'm buying. Unfortunately, living in Alaska makes my selection limited, so I may end up waiting till I get back to the South to get the hard to find stuff. Anyway, just my 2/cents worth.

I had the same experience. He says he has F1 sheetmetal but will not send pictures. I guess I'm not willing to be that trusting unless one of you can tell me that you've dealt with him and he's a Saint.

63split is a thief
I don't have a Ford truck, but have run into 63split. His name is George Bennett Jr. from Classic Auto Parts in Georgia. He sold me parts, and yes he did not have any pictures for me. He took the money and ran. I've been trying to get my money back for 6 months. He has Better Business Bureau complaints against him. Don't buy from 63split as he is a crook!

Carnesville, Ga is the County seat of Franklin County. The Sheriff's name is Hugh Roach from what I could determine. The phone number for the Court House is 706 384-2483. I suspect that they can get you through to the Sheriff's office.
I would be greatly supprised if they did not know good ol' George the county population is only a bit over 20,000.

George may sit on the county Board of Trustees. If not him you can bet one of them knows him. I would not let that scare you off though. If he's trying to screw you, chances are pretty good he's screwed one of them at some point and they may be looking for a reason to nail him.
