Anybody have experience with Bersa firearms? I checked and I think they are tied in with Llama, out of Argentina. I wasn't impressed with Llama handguns about 30 years ago, but they might have improved. The few people I have talked to, all dealers, have spoken well of Bersa, but then again, they are trying to make a sale.
I am looking at their new Thunder 45 ACP. Nice, compact, double action, and reasonably priced. I will appreciate any and all comments.
I bought one of their compact .380s and I think for the price it is a good buy. I have not had a single jam yet (and I've had it for about 3yrs and fired about 3000 rds thru it). I mainly bought it for concelment but it is such a fun and fairly accurate gun to shoot I use it all the time. But as for any info on the origin of the gun I can't help you there.
Thanks for the input Stormin'. I guess the Thunder 45 is a fairly recent introduction to their line. Thus far I haven't been able to find any holster made for it either.
I have found a couple of other people with experience with Bersa, neighbor had a Thunder 380. Never had a problem with it, said fit and finish was fine.
I went ahead and ordered one. I should get it in a day or so. After a reasonable time and a couple of hundred rounds, I will file my report. I want to try several brands of ammunition as I have read some comments about jamming being a problem with various brands. I also will be applying for my CCW permit, and will report on how that goes. Looks to be a fairly straight forward process here in Colorado.
