We have an 2000 F-350 6.0 deisel. We took it into the dealership for a sensor problem and had a multipoint inspection done and everything checked out fine. One week later the truck dies on us , we tow it back and they tell us we have a dusted motor! Has anyone else had this problem or are we the only lucky ones? Anyhow, Ford would only cover 80% of the new motor which doesn't seem right if it's a flaw in the air intake system, since one week earlier we had a clean bill of health with the dealership! Help!

To me it's sounds like your the one that they are trying to dust... [/B]
I agree with 8ballz. I have read alot on this forum and maybe I miss it before but I would say out of all the problems I have read I never heard of your before.
A dusted motor is allmost always caused by oil filled air intake systems and ford will void your warranty i learned this the hard way will never mod a truck again.
In some filters like the K&N, oil is used to help filter particles. Some of that oil will get drawn into the turbo. Oil and dirt will build up in the intake and usually screw up (technical term) the turbine blades.
I started to replace my air filter until I did a little research. Best to leave it alone. Read the warranty! Plus the factory filter should last a long time unless you are really in a very dusty environment.
