leaking gasket
Just purchased an 02 F-250, about 2 months ago. So far I'm glad I went with it over the Chevy 2500hd. Then I stumbled upon this website about a week ago, and wow! You guys make me feel good about my purchase! However, I did see something today I thought I would run past the group. I did my first oil change and noticed some oil had blown back the trany case. After further review, it appears that a gasket is leaking a bit between the motor and the trany. Not enough to make any drips on the ground, but the bolts in the rear of the oil pan are wet and the whole area has an oil film on it. Any body run in to this. The truck has 3000 miles on it. Is it normal to get some seeping during break in? Its been about 90 degrees and I'm running the 5-20 ford oil. I don't have much faith in the service dept at my dealer to do any real big jobs. Big thanks to any and all feedback.
