Which is the better trany
Ok So my 89 f250 7.5l 4x4 has a c6. I want to put a stick in it. I know where I can get a good mazda 5spd but I have read alot about the ZF-4 or ZF-5 trany. Whats bad about the mazda trany. I guess I'm looking for some pros and cons between the two transmissions. Also do you think that the ZF-4 would lower hwy rpm's verses my C6?

I don't know much at all about manual trans but I would go with the ZF5 speed.
I didn't know they put M5ODs behind 460s. Thought it was only for small blocks.
The c6 is a 3 speed with no OD so Yes they ZF5 will deff lower your RPMs. What gears does it have? 4.10s?
Never heard of a ZF4 do you mean the T18?
