Crazy 4wd Problem
A friend has a 92 Explorer 4.0 with 4wd. Right now both 4 hi and 4 lo lights are on and vehicle is stuck in 4wd. It would not go into 4wd at first but after contiuous pushing of buttons now both light are on and vehicle will not drop out of 4wd. While pushing the buttons I can see the volt gauge on the dash drop down to around 10 volts while holding the button down. Any help?

You guy's are the experts! That link has great pics and couldn't have been more descriptive! Dropped the motor, cleaned and lubed and she switches like a champ! Thanks for everyone's help. Saved $300 big ones.
