68 Bronco electrical problem
My truck isn't doing what it should, but it used to. Now the oil pressure gauge, the fuel gauge, the temp gauge, the wipers, the blinkers, the emergency flashers, and the heater blower motor don't work. What do these have in common? I don't have a good set of wiring diagrams or schematics to work from.

I found it. There is a nut that holds on a wire directly on the back of the ignition switch that runs everything when the key is in the "on" position. The nut was loose, and I had a bad connection

Thanks for following up when you found the culprit. Something that simple, and easy to find, is a good strart for others not very confortable with or even having a clue where to start looking electrical toubleshooting.

A while back I mashed the gas petal to the floor on my 68. It has a GT40 351W. after a few seconds I could smell smoke and there was a howling noise coming from the back. Next thing, something was flashing, it was blue then red, then another odd noise.
Could it be a loose nut?
Have you heard of this problem with Fords before?
Is it possible to stop a Ford Man from doing this?
