95 explorer transmission code 646
Now on third trip to transmission repair shop. Transmission was rebuilt about 600 miles ago at 151k miles. O/D light flashes after about 200 miles. This has happened 2 different times AFTER I HAVE HAD THE TRANSMISSION TOTALLY REBUILT. Mechanic is working with me, but he can't seem to figure out why this keeps happening. The code he pulled out is 646, which has something to do with 2nd gear ratio. truck will be running fine, then it seems like it just won't go for a few seconds, then the o/d light comes on and stays on til it is reset by mechanic. Truck still drivable and seems okay even when o/d light is flashing, except for a hard 1st gear downshift. Anyone know what the 646 code is caused by and what my mechanic is not seeing or doing to solve this problem?
