Batt. losing charge

My 88 F150 4X4 (auto) keeps losing a charge.. I thought it might be the starter relay, but it still is draining from somewhere... Maybe the speed sensor?

If anyone could help me.. that would be awsome...

go to auto zone or something, they will run a test on your battery and alternator for free... i think u have a bad battery

old trick: key off, disconnect neg bat cable, place test light between neg post and neg bat cable. if it lights you have a drain. pull fuses one at a time until test light does not come on or gets dimmer. that should narrow your search down to the faulty circuit. the dome light/underhood light will show up as a drain so take that into consideration during testing. good luck.

I agree with what kc73 said, it's the place to start. Don't forget to yank the light under the hood, if you have one it will cause a draw of about 1 amp when on. I have also heard of a defective hood lamp switch that keeps that light on even when the hood is closed. Good Luck!
