just finished my install of the 3 isspro gauge full pillar pod and the diablo predator I got from motor haven. Holy buckets this predator tuner is for real, believe it. I only have it on the 40 hp program right now just for startsers. Wow what a kick in the pants. I'd like to thank ken for putting up with my dumb questions about the tuner before I purchased and also a big thank you to all the members of this forum for the help and advise on the pillar gauge install. This site is awwwwwwwwsome.
When you use this tuner, does it void the warrenty of the truck?? seems like pretty easy power!. and why wouldn't Ford just set it up for more power from the factory? just curious.

Depends on the dealer. Some dealers will void your warranty immediately, others actually sell chips for the trucks. The biggest thing is the dealer has to prove that the aftermarket modification caused the failure of the OEM part. If your radio is broken and your truck is chipped, there's zero chance that the chip caused it. If you have a chip (or other aftermarket performance mod) and you're tranny goes out, more than likely they aren't going to cover it. It pretty much all boils down to the dealer though.

The neat thing about the Diablo is that you can return your truck back to "factory" tuning before you go in for warranty work and they will never know it was "tuned" with an aftermarket part. If you go in there with a "hot" tune, I can only assume they will blame every problem on the aftermarket part. I always detune mine before going to the dealer, and they have never said anything about my exhaust. I guess like Basstardo put it.....It depends on the dealer.
