Ok, I had a guy tell me that Ford didn't come out with a Camper special, but I just wan'ted to know why on my title it says F-154, and on my door jam it says F-154, He told me that they came out with a "Towing Special", My trucks a 1989 F-150, Says F-154, So Not sure what to call it, but has dual tanks 4x2, 5 speed with OD. They told me it has 3.08 Gears Non-LS, But I have laid down many single tire tracks, and many two tire tracks on the road.

The guy said that the Towing specials came with 5 leaf springs, Also I have noticed truck did have a 5th wheel hitch in it. Here is the Rear end tag, I pulled it S 806D

So the question is what is a F-154, What does it mean, is there such thing as Towing special,
The other question what rearend do I have and Is it Limited slip or not!

I know there is a towing package, But with 3.08s and a M5OD, it dosen't sound like you have it.

What is the Axle code on your driver's side door jam sticker?

Doesn't sound like you do to me, they wouldn't put a M5OD behind a towing vehical, same with 3.08 gears. I really have no idea what F-154 means nor have I ever heard of it before.

 

I have no clue..Lol Never hurd of F-154 but its on my titel and door jam. The guy that told me its a towing special siad the F-154 is slightly stronger and can out pull F-150, and said that the Towingspecial has 5 leafe springs on each side instead of 4..I don't know can sombody help me that knows what i'm talking about or has same thing???
