As to the K&N FIPK GII vs Airraid. I have no idea which is better. What I do know is that on Dads truck I installed the exhuast in 1999. the giddiup factor got better. I installed the FIPK GII last spring and the giddiup factor improved. As to the MAF, I won't say that it is not possible, since you have installed a filter element that is less restrictive and filters less microns than a dry filter element. Now, speaking of Dry vs. Wet filters. If you have a Dry filter media the only recourse you have is to reduce the pore size of the filter to achieve the desired filtration. But with a wet or oil soaked filter media, you can get away with a larger pore size due to the oil, which serves as the honey that catches the flies. I do know that Dad lives11 miles up a very dusty road that has a fair amount of traffic and his MAF is still going strong. But to hedge my bet, I picked up a replacement for his truck from a junkyard and stowed it just incase. Hey,$20.00 is a great price for a MAF, find a cheaper deal. I am sure there is better, more expensive equipment out there. If you want instant power, spercharge your engine. Link: http://www.stylinconcepts.com/parts....CategoryID/255
Second a cat-back is good, I have seen a borla on a guy's truck in town and he loves it. Sounds good too.
Lastly, just a little forced induction. But that's in my opinion. It takes a lot of help but it's worth it.
