Well... There are no codes to pull from the OBD-I. I guess I will have to look into transmissions..... Thanks all-

TY, I am intersted to see how this sub system is inter-connected. Maybe something form your manual will shed some light.

Since your not getting any codes I will only list the possible causes that would NOT cause a code.

Bad wiring, pin 57 ( red power wire) and pin 52 (blk wire) should be 20 ohms.

Bad ECU.

Converter clutch solenoid jammed, drop pan, valve body and check solenoid.

Converter clutch shuttle valve stuck, remove valve body and check, the spring load should be 2# at 0.512".

Converter clutch valve stuck, remove valve body and check operation.

Converter malfunction, replace converter.
