ok heres another problem i have with my bronco along with many im trying to figure out haha
its got a 351W fuel injected i changed the intake gaskets all the way up
and im still losing oil not as much as i was losing before i changed it but its doing something it didnt do before under normal driving it seems fine if i hit the highway like on my way to work 15 miles or so no stopping when i get off my exit and stop at the light the oil pressure guage drops alllll the way down till i give it some gas and i mean im losing enough oil to not even show any on the dip although the truck runs great and does have power i cant figure out what it could be cuz its also not leaving any puddles
the truck smokes real bad but its transmission fluid leaking from numerous places the worst on the the cat convertor which is causing the smoke from the fluid hitting it
did you try changing the oil? i know it sounds stupid. when you had taken the intake off, did you clean it up or mess with the sludge on the block? you might have just knocked some stuff loose that is now just down in the bottom of your oil pan. also did you also change the vlave cover gaskets? those are probably leaking oil also if you havnt changed them. just my .02$.
Have you checked your coolant to see if there is any oil in that? I'm thinking head gasket. Would be tough to tell without actually looking things over.
there was a big mess cuz i cleaned every mating surface with an abrasive pad on the grinder so it made quite a mess in the intake i cleaned out what i could then buttoned it all back together ran it a few minutes then changed the oil a good amount of coolant came out i havent changed it since then im gonna change the oil monday at work and see where im at i did the gaskets all the way up from the intake so yes i did do the valve cover gaskets too and it seems like all the gaskets are holding up
