I have a 2000 F250 Diesel. 3 weeks ago, I had a head-on collision. I've got my truck back together except for the bumper, but my speedometer doesn't work, and the ABS light stays on.
I replaced the speed sensor on top of the differential and nothing changed. I checked the wires; they seemed to be fine. The fuses were fine.
I ran a diagnostic codes check with the Superchips Micro Tuner, and it came back with a P0603 code, Internal ctrl mod KAM error.
Do any of you have suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
JD
Update: I cleared the codes (there was only that one P0603 listed above) and drove it some more. Then I plugged in the Superchips and downloaded the codes, and there were none this time.
Do you think that code was caused by the accident, and now I can ignore it?
The odometer/speedometer/ABS light sounds like it's the speed sensor, but I just replaced it. How can I tell if I got a bad speed sensor? I bought it from the dealership. I'm considering taking it to their service department, but would much rather fix it myself.
