Fuel gage does not work

Hello...

I need your help!

I have a BII 89 2.9
My fuel gage does not work, what I can do?
What I need to check firt.

I used to test mine by taking the wire off the sending unit and grounding it out. If your guage pegs it usually means its your sending unit in the tank. Also check and make sure you have a good ground to tank. Good luck.
