buying advise

My name is James and I found a 1990 Bronco II automatic shift. The Bronco has been tricked out with a giant speaker wall and the interior needs some work, however, the engine seems to runs great. I am going back tomorrow to drive it ...any advice on any trouble spots I should look for?

Welcome to FTE!!!

How many miles and what tranny?

The biggest problem is when you overheat the 2.9L the heads can crack, check the oil for coolant, looks like chocolate milk.

Do you have an automatic or manual transmission?

oh the horror

The Bronco II has an automatic transmission and even though I am not adverse to getting my hands dirty...I currently own an 82 Chevy truck...this just seems too much even for the price of $1700.00...the oil looked creamy...the spare tire holder has torn the fiberglass...the muffler is rusted out...the lights don't work on the push button 4wheel drive...the seats are not bolted down...and the back door is impossible to open...but it drove well...it has 114,000 miles...now that I have written it down it doesn't seem like much...but I don't know
James

there are better deals out there i guess it depends on your living location. i got my 88 b2 with 130,000 had 4wheel but 4 wheel has a problem, no a/c . heator hose leaked $2 fix. inside perfect, and no spare tire. so it runs awsome and inside perfect all this for 1200. like i said there are better deals out there.mine was prob a deal that you wont come by but for 1700 you can get a pritty nice b2 these cars run very cheap.

We bought our 85 B2 4x4 with everything working but the tranny for $500.00. No rust , no bondo, perfect truck! It also came with the extras. This was a steal, as the guy was a moron. Just giving you an idea Pic in my photo
