Okay I purchased a 2 year or 24k mile extended warranty on our 2000 4x4 Expedition. It is the Base Care Ford Warranty that we got from the dealer the day we purchased it (Jan 2nd). I am feeling a really rouch rear end ride and look at the air ride suspension on the front of the truck(still not sure if the suspension is the problem or not). Driver's side looks fine...Passanger side is well....Lets say it needs to be fixed. The sheild above the wheels that is somewhat flimsy (to protect the parts above the tire) is shuved up and has severed the air ride line and is stuck UP there. I dont want to touch it figuring Ill cause more damage. Not sure if we bought it that way or not. Its not something you would notice enless your looking directly at it and compair the sides. So I call the 1-800 Ford ESP line and they have no record of us for the warranty...and I call the dealer...Who transfers me 5 times and then tells me that the Warranty guys are in a meeting and I have to leave a voice mail on someone's phone. I originally called teh Ford ESP line to find out if I have a deductible or not on the warranty as we were not told and it is not marked on the warranty paper work...WHich the dealer has not turned in reason being why the truck isn't comming up in their computer. Does my BaseCare cover this part? I would think it would but doesn't list the air ride under the Suspension parts. Im pretty mad at this time...since its been all day and Iv not heard back from the dealer and I can't take my truck in because I dont know if my part is covered or if I have a deductible or not.
Yup. Have it right here. Iv been trying to contact someone at the dealership all day. Problem is we live out of state and I just cant go down there to straighten things out. Iv talked to 2 woman one told me "Well your vehicle is not in the system" DUH I told you that. And then both times they transfered me to another guy who did not awnser the phone. I left messages at both guy's desk and neither has called back. Because it is a warranty on a USED car they are saying (according to the last lady I spoke with) I need to get ahold of the sales guy I had (who I dont remember his name) and have them look up my records on the used car end. Which I think shouldnt matter as I didn't purchase the warranty until I was done with the used car part and was already in finance. Anyways--Im getting really ticked now. And I can't stand waiting for people to call me back
If I had paperwork showing my warranty through ford, I would march down to the nearest ford dealer and demand that it be taken care of immediately. At this point it does not matter if you make a scene right in the middle of the showroom, the busier the better. Good Luck !

Im about ready to...Iv called the dealership in Texas once again and got ahold of the finance manager that did the paper work who then said he would call me back in a little bit which was 2 hours ago. He told me it should be covered for up to $3000 miles after purchase...its bearly been 2 weeks. I took it in last week to a local Ford dealer to get the throttle looked at because it was sticking a bit (now fixed by my husband) but they charged me $32.00 just to look at it.
