Seat question

In my quest to find a newer Expy I have a question regaridng the 2nd row seats.

I currently have a 97 Expy EB with the 2nd row bench and am looking at 2001's with 2nd row captains. DOes anyone know if there is any safety difference for child seats between these ?

Also are latch or tether anchors available on the Expy's and if so which year were they implemented.

Have a new baby due this Sunday, trying to wrap up this deal by then and want everything to be safe for my new lil girl

Thanks

WC

Here's an excerpt from the 1999 Expedition Owner's Guide:

"Tether anchorage hardware

A tethered seat can be installed in the front passenger seat. Put the tether strap over the seatback and attach it to an anchor bracket.

Anchor brackets can be bolted to the rear edge of the front passenger seat cushion. The bolt holes are in the bottom of the rear edge of the front passenger seat cushion frame. The anchor bracket must be installed using the instructions provided with the kit.

Tether anchorage hardware kits (part number 613D74) including
instructions, may be obtained at no charge from any Ford or
Lincoln-Mercury dealer.

Tether anchor brackets may also be installed to the floor behind the second row seats.

Tighten the anchor according to specifications. Otherwise, the
safety seat may not be properly secured and the child may be
injured in a sudden stop or collision."

The odd part of this is that I always thought a child seat should not be located in a seat protected by an airbag.
