1999 f350 psd 4x4 crew cab lwb experiencing front end problems.
When I go to steer the truck there is a hesitation and then the truck turns. It seems I am having to overcompensate and then it catches. It is kind of like a roll. I noticed that one of the sway bar bushings was missing, so I replaced. Still have the problem. It just isnt tight like my f250 is. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a 96 F250 4x4 PSD and had the same experience - my truck seemed to have the hesitation when turning and also seemed very sloppy while driving. Turned out it was the ball joints. While they replaced the ball joints I had them replace U-joints as well, unfortunately, I think I got some bad U-joints. Now whenever I have my front hubs locked in, I hear a loud roaring sound at around 45mph. especially when my hubs are locked but my 4 wheel drive is NOT engaged. just a thought.
