refridgerator built by Philco/Ford

i wasn't sure where to post this but hear it goes.I had to go and repair a furnace in a mobilehome, and when I was done I was standing by the fridgerator, and I noticed that the emblem on the front of the 1972 refridgerator say's Philco/Ford,and the Ford part is in the terditional writing inside the oval.My question is what did Ford have to do with refridgerator's.Or did they??The Oval that said Ford in it was just as if it were on a vehicle made by Ford. The fridgerator is 24 yr.'s old,and still work's 100%,and by the exsperiance of my Ford vehicle's I'd say it's the Ford in it keeping it alive. No one has put this emblem on the fridg. either. It is the original emblem.

I think if you do a net search you will find Philco did electronics and radios for Ford and Ford eventually bought them out. Sort of like Delco and GM. I have seen Philco on Ford stuff.

Yes, exactly. Ford owned Philco. I think they had to sell Philco, like Autolite, due to anti-trust concerns.
