I seem to be having the same problem as many on the board. The peice of weather stripping on the cowl above the air cleaner that prevents water from dripping in and laying on the top of the air cleaner needs replacement. Mine is hard and cracked. I made a homemade gasket for the top of air cleaner where the mounting bolt pokes through but water will still lay there.
Is a replacement weather stripping still available from Ford or avtermarket suppliers?
There should be a generic about that shape which would do fine..

I broke mine just two days ago...
I'm not sure if it is permissable to use the name of another parts hous on this forum but, the place you want is LMC Truck <http://www.LMCTruck.com>.
If the part you want is the strip that mounts on the firewall just below the back edge of the hood--they've got them, about $40 plus shipping. If you do change it be careful to save the screws holding it on. Hard to find the right ones and they're expensive. Spray a little PB Blaster on them about 15 minutes before you try to take them out. Makes it a lot easier.
I replaced mine a few years ago but it still leaks a little. Looks like water runs down between the firewall and weatherstrip. Was I supposed to put some kind of sealer between them?
Usually weatherstrip is applied with a contact cement... like 3M trim adhesive... apply to both clean and dry surfaces... let tack about 15 minutes..then apply exactly where you want it... not like rubber cement you can move around...on long piece like that use a screw hole to align at the middle and work out from the center to avoid lumps...
